SEPTEMBER SPECIAL OFFERS!

MICROSCLEROTHERAPY FOR THREAD VEINS ON LEGS £50 OFF!

If you have thread veins/spider veins on your legs they can be treated using microsclerotherapy - tiny injections into the veins with a solution known as a sclerosant, which damages the vein wall. The body then slowly absorbs the damaged tissues making the vein less obvious or unnoticeable to the eye.

The needles used to inject are very small and the treatment is pain free for most individuals, others feel minimal discomfort.

Veins usually need more than one injection to achieve the affect you desire, this often depends on the size of the vein.

We recommended treatments are spaced out at least every 8-12 weeks when treating the same area. Most thread veins will require an average of 2 - 6 treatment sessions, depending on the extent of the veins.

The number of treatments needed is determined by:

• The number of thread veins that you wish to have removed

• The size of the veins

• How well the veins respond to the treatment

After leg treatment we recommend:

• You wear support stockings for 72 hours night & day, then daily for a week.

• Avoid alcohol and aspirin for 24 hours.

• Avoid long periods of standing for 72 hours.

• Do not fly for at least 7 days for short flights (4 hours or less) or 4 weeks if a long haul flight.

Thread Veins are caused by many factors including:

• Sun damage

• Hormonal changes

• Hereditary

• Trauma

• Pregnancy

• Pressure from varicose veins

Before considering treatment for leg veins we ask that you arrange a consultation with us to make sure the thread veins are not caused by venous incompetency ( leaky valves) deeper in the leg. We will also perform a patch test for the treatment and will advise on graduated compression stockings and vascular health. The first treatment is then carried out two weeks later.

Microsclerotherapy uses a prescription drug to dissolve the blood vessels and is only carried out by qualified professionals (Nurses, Doctors, Dentists), Moira Grobicki is a Registered Nurse & Independant Prescriber and is also a member of the British Association of Sclerotherapists and the British Dermatological Nursing Group.

SPECIAL OFFER OF £200 SAVING £50 PER TREATMENT!

THE PERFECT PEEL £50 OFF DURING SEPTEMBER!

A medical grade chemical peel to improve pigmentation, fine lines and skin texture to give your skin a fresh glowing look!

The Perfect Peel requires no preparation before & no post treatment other than the kit that is included in the price. It is designed as a one off treatment, although some people repeat 3-6 monthly depending on their skin concerns. Fantastic for skin pigmentation, acne, fine lines & photoaging.

Because it's a medium depth peel it does have 7-10 days downtime afterwards with a lot of peeling, so it's a good idea to think about when is best for you to have done. Most people just carry on with work etc as normal, but if you have any special events have peel at least 10 days before so skin recovered. Links below for more information; The Perfect Peel website & also their instagram where patients put their own peel pics - this gives a good idea of the extent of peeling.

When you come to clinic I will check your medical & skin history. If you currently use a retinol cream you would need to stop 7 days before the peel.

There are are a few circumstances when we can’t do the peel:

Pregnant or breastfeeding

Keloid scarring ( skin doesn’t heal normally - big thick scars)

On tetracycline antibiotics (so we recommend to start these types of antibiotics after the peel)

Allergy to aspirin

Previous radiation therapy to face

Retinol in previous 7 days

Sunburn in previous 7 days

An open active cold sore on the face

Applying the peel takes about 15 minutes, you go home with the peel on & wash off 6 hours later.

Over the next couple of days you will avoid the sun as much as possible and use the retinol sheets in your aftercare pack. Usually you will begin to peel about third day until 7th day. Kit contains moisturiser you will need to apply frequently as skin will feel really tight. It can feel uncomfortable during that week. Once the peeling is complete you will need to wear spf50 to protect your beautiful new skin.

The Perfect Peel is a medical grade chemical peel and is only carried out by qualified professionals (Nurses, Doctors, Dentists), Moira Grobicki is a Registered Nurse & Independant Prescriber and has been trained to a high standard by Medica Forte, the only UK trainers for The Perfect Peel.
